5 key to improving your sexual self-esteem

Self-love directly affects our sex life. Therefore, a specialist in the field reveals the steps to follow in order to improve our confidence in the field of the erotic.

Self-esteem, which can be defined as the level of assessment or esteem that a person feels for himself, directly influences his or her sexuality. Therefore, those who have little or no self-love, can hardly have a full and satisfying erotic life.

But there are ways in which what is also known as sexual self-esteem can be enhanced. Magdalena Rivera, medical surgeon and sexologists at Medical Sex Center, delivers the following solutions that can positively impact erotic life.

1. Accept the body
It is important to feel good about your body. This does not necessarily mean having and wearing a perfect body, but accepting and loving the body that one has, without feeling the pressure or the demands of advertising or fashion that often raise physical stereotypes that are not real. This is something basic to be comfortable, to undress without problems in privacy.

2. Know the body
In order to feel more secure in the sexual encounter, it is also vital to know your own body, your sexual responses, what you like and what you do not like. And the best way to get all this is this is through masturbation.

Autoerotism for years was "condemned", however, over time, science was clearing the way and is known to bring many benefits of the life of those who practice it: strengthens the immune system, improves mood, quality of Skin, self-esteem and other benefits.

In this sense, today, the sexual market offers a series of alternatives to be able to motivate and promote autoerotism both female and male such as vibrators, dildos, exciting gels, intimate lubricants, among many other novelties that have been created with the sexual well-being of women And men.

3. Learn about sexuality
Another way to boost erotic self-esteem is to gain more knowledge about sexuality. And the best way for this is by educating yourself through reliable and good quality information sources.
In this way, we also get rid of myths and taboos that surround sex and are often obstacles to explore and discover new sensations in sex.

4. Learning to communicate with the couple
Communication with the other person is vital, but it has to be an assertive communication, that is, it does not come in the form of criticism or offense. Always the idea is to propose or suggest what one wants and does not want, but in a good way.

Now, it is also important that we all understand that not because one does not like a certain sexual practice is bad in bed or is a bad lover, because everything goes through preferences and tastes that vary in each person. Therefore, it is very important that we refrain from rating our sexual performance or that of the other.

5. Have real expectations about sex
It is better to have real expectations, to see sexuality as a way to enjoy and have fun. That sex has nothing to do with reaching goals or with self-demand. In this sense pornography can do a lot of damage. That is to say, there is no problem with watching pornographic films, as long as we do not think that what we see there is reality neither a documentary, but mere fiction and sexual fantasy.

Creative ways to re-vitalize your sex life

It's been years that you've been together. You still love and cherish each other. But routine and predictability have become the order of your day. Familiarity has settled over your sexual relationship like an old, comforting blanket. And something's gone out of your life.
What? When you place your finger on it, you know it's that indefinable quality that provided the spark, the thrill, the body and soul-thumping passions of those early days together. Your sex life has become more predictable, less spontaneous. You hate to admit it; but there's no getting away from it: the glow has begun to dim.

And you've begun to wonder: is this the lull before the dull?
So, if your sex life is worth some of your while, here are suggestions that can help you light a new fire even if all you see right now is the valiant flicker of dying embers!

1. Another time, another place: If you've tried every possible position, now try a change of place. To start with, there's a whole range of furniture to exhaust beyond the bed. Have you tried the living-room sofa, the dining table and each of the dining chairs sequentially? Then there's: behind the blinds, under the shower or in the tub - anywhere, except near a kitchen fire.
There's almost an air of impropriety about love-making in places other than the bed - and that's the very quality that makes them such deviously delightful possibilities and adds that edge of a new adventure to an old pastime.

2. Now try a change of pace: The traditional height of machismo has been forceful - even, vigorous penetration, followed by a piston performance. Men in the particular harbor the misconception that every sexual encounter progresses relentlessly from a crescendo of passion to the climax of orgasm.
Revise that notion. You can get instant gratification without a partner. But you're a twosome: so, make the most of that by using delayed gratification, teasing and tantalizing your way to the heights. Go slowly, remember that to use a touch more often builds up the sexual tension more gradually.

3. Make a date: Sounds corny after 15 years of married life? But, in our crowded, scurrying existences, if we leave love-making to chance and impulse, other more 'demanding' jobs are likely to elbow it out of the way. Instead, set aside a time (or times) during the week when you will not permit anything else to intrude into your appointed hour under the covers.

Scheduling sex:
Does it sound too mechanical? You may find it works out to be just the opposite. Because you have to wait, you can fantasize about it. Anticipation and expectation heighten the intensity. You can spend the whole day or the whole week wondering about it, planning it, wishing it. Much as you used to look forward to your dates in the days before you married.

4. Get away from it all: Changing your love-making scenery is one way to pep up your sex life. When last did you take a weekend off together? Very often, when you get out of the rut, you get a whole new perspective on your love life - and the motivation to do something about it.

5. Give and receive: Take turns in being the aggressive partner. If you've always been the one to indulge in all the foreplay, try giving your partner a chance to make some of the moves. Not by saying, "Why don't you". Rather, touch or kiss him/her. Then retreat - that gives your spouse a chance to respond. Try being the passive partner now and again - you'll realize what you've been missing!

6. Discover the whole body: Expand your horizons. Sex is not just the penis and the vagina. There's a whole array of erogenous zones you may never have explored - from the mouth and the ears to the love button and the underside of the feet.
And, yes, in the case of women, there's the clitoris - the seat of their orgasm, the fact that many men are on the vet to discover.

7. Take a new look at sex: Remember that sex is not always orgasm on demand; it's not even always intercourse. If you can get rid of this mindset, you may well find that other kinds of passion play bring equally satisfying arousal. Try a sensuous massage. Or watching an erotic movie in a tight cuddle or playing footsie over a candlelight dinner at your favorite beachside café. All this is body talk. And isn't that what sex is about?

Clean up your act: It's inevitable with some men and women that, when they begin to take their partner or the relationship for granted, they slide into carelessness and even slovenliness over their personal appearance and hygiene.
Cleanliness is next to sexiness. Haven't you noticed - when you're freshly showered and powdered/perfumed, you feel more sensual, even wanton? So, get fresh.

8. Finally, take it easy: Don't work too hard at injecting new spontaneity into your old love life. Work doesn't work for sex!
Love-making should be leisurely, relaxed, not a goal-oriented sexual performance. Sex is not a circus, and you are not a performing flea. If you analyze, decode each move and every response - such as either she groaned enough, or if his erection lasted long enough - you'd forfeit all the enjoyment.

The bottom line is that, to please your partner, you've got to be having a good time yourself. So, put your heart into it - more than your sinews and your sweat!

Important Root Causes of Erectile Dysfunction

Studies in several countries show that erectile dysfunction affects more than 100 million men worldwide. Despite this huge quantity, the patient with erection problems feels completely alone.

Man, due to socio-cultural context in which it was created, has difficulty in talking about their problem and especially with his own companion, before whom he feels diminished. With friends, in the same posture, the reply will certainly be of mockery and embarrassment. Fear and ashamed of their condition hinders these men to consult an expert.

3 Main Causes of Erectile Dysfunction
The causes of erectile dysfunction can be divided into three major groups:
·        Organic
·        Psychogenic
·        Mixed

It is important to emphasize that the erection disorders occur more frequently in as the individual ages, but are not due to only age. The fact can be explained when it is understood that various diseases that favor the onset of erectile dysfunction occur most frequently in people over age.

Organic Root Causes
Penile erection is a phenomenon dependent on various factors and involves the nervous, endocrine, vascular and tissue of the corpora cavernosa. Therefore, changes in any of these factors may contribute at least in part for erectile dysfunction.

Injury or vascular disorders can impair the required blood circulation in the penis. The arterial occlusive disease of atherosclerotic or traumatic etiology of pelvic and penile vascular system decreases blood flow and substantially reduces penile erection.
Changes in the nerves lead to sexual stimulation to the penis. Diseases or conditions that affect the nervous system, such as alcoholism and diabetes mellitus can cause erectile dysfunction. In addition, spinal cord injuries, surgeries and pelvic radiotherapy destroy nerve fibres, a loss of erective function.

Changes in hormone production such as lowering blood level of testosterone (produced in the testes) leads to decreased interest in sexual activity. Anatomical and physiological changes in the corpus cavernosum, preventing them from adequately dilate to promote erection. The corpora cavernosa are cylindrical structures, located in the body of the penis, which receive the blood and keep it under pressure, promote erection.

Psychological Root Causes
This category is related to mechanism of action with the central inhibition of the erection process, emotionally based and without the participation of any organic component.

Many emotional factors such as stress, anxiety, fear of failure, shame, family problems, financial problems, among others, may be responsible for erectile dysfunction, in varying degrees, including premature ejaculation problems. The preoccupation of the individual with sexual performance can also lead to erectile dysfunction. The man with ED is isolated with their problem.

The fear and the shame of failing again, eventually lead man to abstain from any sexual contact, leading him to a vicious cycle that slows down more and more the process of healing.

Mixed causes
It comprises a combination of organic and emotional factors. After going through successive failures when attempting intercourse, the feeling of inferiority experienced by the individual will cause a huge psychological impact. The vicious circle created makes it increasingly difficult the possibility to solve the problem alone. In the case of erection, ultimate expression of masculinity, related by the concepts of our society, the strength and power in its broadest sense is extremely rare in patient with an organic cause, whatever it is, does not end, also showing an emotional involvement.

How to Cope with Your Partner’s Erectile Dysfunction Problem

One major challenge that confronts some women in their love relationship is how to deal with their male partners diagnosed as being impotent. Otherwise referred to as erectile dysfunction, impotence refers to a man’s inability to either erect or sustain penile erection that is necessary for sexual performance. The fact that the problem is now being diagnosed by doctors in large numbers across the world makes it very necessary that you know how to cope just in case your partner is already diagnosed as having the problem or just for information that can be helpful in future.

The first thing you need to realize is the fact that your sexual life does not end when your partner is diagnosed as being impotent. Unlike some women who start thinking of divorce, you need to start thinking of helping your partner to cope with his condition with the aim of continuous enjoyment of your sex life. It therefore becomes necessary to go to the root of your partner’s erectile dysfunction problem. Going to the root of the problem makes it possible for you to ascertain the cause of the problem of which there are several remedies and medications your partner can use for continued satisfactory sex performance.

Depending on your family doctor or your partner’s personal doctor, there are a number of erectile dysfunction medications in the market including Cialis and Levitra pills that your partner can use. Some men have indeed used such medications to regain their sexual performance prowess. Apart from pills, there are also injections and vacuum pumps that are effective in combating impotence.

Apart from pills, vacuum pumps and injections, there are several ways through which you can help your partner cope and one of these is trying something new. This may be the right time to ramp up foreplay to encourage your partner to get aroused in order to attain penile erection. This is also the right time that you need to read sexy materials together as a couple just to help your partner cope.

You need to realize that it can be very devastating to a man when he is diagnosed as being impotent. What your partner needs at such a time is understanding on your part and the best way to go about showing him that you understand his condition is to take off the pressure from him. Instead focusing on his penis, consider trying out new things such as oral sex and using a vibrator together.

Coping with your partner’s erectile dysfunction should not be such a difficult task. Apart from medications, equipment and encouragement, you also have the option of letting your partner use natural remedies that have proved effective in treating or managing the condition. It is however important to point out that not all available remedies will do. You first need to ascertain the cause of your partner’s impotence to enable you choose the right remedy.

Impotent diagnosis is what every man dreads. However, that does not mean that a man can not engage in satisfactory sex performance. You only need to understand and communicate with your partner with the aim of establishing the best way to handle his condition.
